A HOME MADE DIWALI SWEET WITH THE HEALTHIEST TWIST? I GOT YOU!

Oats ladoos with all the goodies

Hello sunshine! Don’t we all wanna indulge ourselves completely in all kinds of sweets and savories in Diwali? But then come back to overthinking about the amount of ghee (clarified butter) and sugar used in the process of making these heavenly pleasing delicacies and probably burst out of our newly altered dresses. Or even isn’t there an unofficial competition among your friends of “the best house to visit during Diwali” for the best sweets? Or probably it’s just my competitive mind, idk you tell me. So I thought of sharing this healthy yet easiest recipe to kill your sugar cravings without a cheat snack.

INGREDIENTS:

¾ Cup Almonds

¼ Cup Pistas

½ TSP Cinnamon

¼ Jaggery

3 Dates

Salt

1 Cup Oats

1 Cup Desiccated Coconut

DIRECTIONS:

Roast almonds and pistas together in a dry pan on medium flame. Keep them aside. Next step, roast oat flakes till it slightly turns brown.

Take a blender, add the roasted ingredients along with cinnamon, desiccated coconut, dates, jaggery and a pinch of salt(to enrich all the flavours). Blend everything till you get a thick powdered but a little sticky texture.

Pour them out, apply a little ghee in your hands and start making small balls out of it.

Top it off with any dry fruit of your preference or the leftover desiccated coconut and you’re ready to serve.

TA-DA!!!!

Enjoy this delicacy with your family and friends :)
